Flaming Geyser Flyers annual N.Y.D. Fun Fly and Swap Meet will begin at 10AM sharp on Th. 1/1/09. Complimentary hot beverages all day, and BBQ cheeseburger lunch mid-day - $5 donation.
Open flying, Swap Meet (no fee), Flying Demonstrations at noon.
Members of other clubs welcome with AMA card. Please contact any Evaluation or Instructor Pilot in advance for details to obtain a Solo Sticker for your AMA Card either on NYD, or in advance. Northwest Model and Hobby Expo at the Evergreen State Fairgrounds open 2-7pm on Friday February 6th, then Saturday 9am-5pm, and Sunday 9am-3pm. This is the biggest event of it's kind in the Northwest. Swap meet, and lots of manufacturers. |

McMinnville Aircraft Modelers will host a Swap Meet on March 14, 2009 at Yamhill County Fairgrounds in McMinnville, Oregon. For the past three years this swap meet was billed as “McMinnville Collecto and Swap Meet”. This event has gained momentum each year and has become very successful. Last year we rented 60 tables. We admitted about 90 people (not including vendors) for a total of about 200 people. Swap meets are a fun and enjoyable part of model aviation. They provide opportunities for modelers to get together and visit and share our great hobby. Swap meets also provide a chance to find good deals or sell models we are not flying.
