Flaming Geyser Flyers Radio Controlled Association is a group of radio control enthusiasts
who enjoy flying their aircraft at the beautiful Flaming Geyser State Park.
We have an AMA sanctioned field with outstanding facilities and a friendly group of flyers
who welcome you to join us.

| Field Location |
Flaming Geyser State Park is located on the Green River, between Auburn and Black Diamond. To get there from Highway 18, take Auburn-Black Diamond exit and follow Green Valley Road for about 9 miles. The park entrance will be on the right.

| How do I fly there? |
|
In order to fly with us at Flaming Geyser, you must first have an AMA Card (get one here) and then must obtain a Solo Permit Sticker to place on your card. To get this sticker, you must first study the rules found in the management plan and then contact a solo evaluation pilot to take your written and flight exam.
If you pass the test, you will be given a sticker for your AMA Card and may post it on the frequency board and fly.
If you do not have your Solo Permit Sticker, but you do have an AMA card, you may ask a pilot who does have their sticker, to stand with you while you fly until you obtain yours.

| FGF New Years Day Fun Fly & Swap Meet - TH 1/1/09 |

Flaming Geyser Flyers Annual N.Y.D. Fun Fly will begin at 10AM sharp on Thursday Jan.1,2009. Open flying, Swap Meet, Flying Demonstrations, Bar-B-Que lunch - $5 donation will include complimentary hot beverages all day, and BBQ cheeseburger meal mid-day.
Members from other clubs welcome with AMA card. Must contact any Evaluation Pilot, or Instructor Pilot in advance for Solo Sticker details. See "Contacts Page" if you need a Solo Sticker for your AMA card. |

| Mowing Schedule |
|
Mowing will usually be done before, or after "scheduled flying hours". There may be occasional brief field closures when weather or other factors necessitate mowing during flying hours.

| Meetings and Minutes |
The association meets on the 2nd Tuesday of every month at the Park "lodge" building near the south end of the park. We will post the minutes from each meeting at documents page.
Next Meeting
Our next meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, December 9th, 6pm at the lodge - (South end of the Park). This will be our annual Potluck style Christmas Party, raffle, and business meeting. The club will provide plates, silverware, and beverages.
A reminder - Please bring a serving utensil for the item you bring to share. As always, your presence is welcome and very much appreciated. |
