Northwest Scale Aero-Modelers28-Apr, 2011 Hello All, If you are interested in Scale RC and looking to participate in flying in the future consider learning to be a judge. It's not hard just a matter of reviewing the U.S. Scale Masters 2011 Guidelines for judging; http://usscalemasters.org. Click on competition guides to get the 2011 guidelines. This learning also prepares one for the requirements for flying in an event.
More information can be found on the NWSAM website: http://www.nwsam.org/judges.html. The certification process can be all done electronically with quizzes and feedback.
Most judges who participate in a scale event find this a rewarding experience which supports RC aero-modelling and Scale Aero-modelling activity in the North West. If you are interested review the information and consider supporting the Cascade Scale Rally event by obtaining judges certification and participating: http://www.washingtonscalesquadron.org/2011-events.html . Contact Mike Ardy for more information; mikeardy@comcast.net Thanks, Roly Worsfold Director NorthWest Scale Aero-Modellers

The pilot then violated the Management Plan as follows:
1. Failed to contact the Ranger immediately to arrange recovery of the plane. 2. Contacted the property owner, and then went onto the private property. 3. Submitted a report of the incident on the wrong form - (a Violation Report Form)
The Executive Committee, and Advisory Committee have met, and imposed a 90 day suspension of flying privilidges for the offending pilot, and additional training on the Management Plan.
This serious Violation could easily have resulted in permanent closure of the field. PLEASE - Make sure you understand the Management Plan in it's entirety.
